Sebastian James is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Kansas City, Missouri.

 

He first broke into the national spotlight in 2024 with his crossover hit, “When We Were Young.” The single surged onto Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart, landing at #23, while also climbing to #19 on the iHeartRadio Adult Contemporary charts and reaching #7 on the iTunes Rock charts. Pinned between artists Jelly Roll and Shinedown, James distinguished himself as a formidable independent artist capable of commanding mainstream attention without the backing of a major label.
